The China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) donated mobile health clinics under the China Women's Development Foundation's (CWDF) Health Express for Mothers Project to southwest China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region during a ceremony held in the region's capital of Nanning on April 9, 2013.
Guangxi received items and donations worth four million yuan (US$ 645,600), including ten mobile clinics donated by the CWDF and the CNPC worth one million yuan (US$ 161,400), and seven mobile clinics donated by the CWDF and the Golden Leaf Foundation worth 700,000 yuan (US$ 112,980).
The CWDF also provided 2.3 million yuan (US$ 371,220) of donations to the region’s Water Cellar for Mothers and Postal Parcel for Mothers projects. Director General of the CWDF Huang Qingyi and Secretary General of the CWDF Qin Guoying attended the ceremony.
To date, the CWDF has donated 57 mobile clinics to Guangxi to help improve the health levels of poverty stricken women in the region.
